Coronavirus (COVID-19) UpdateMessage from Pr Ben Davies

Because of the present situation Anchor Community Church will suspend its activities until further notice so there will be no Sunday Service, youth Club, Explorers, Messy Church or Anchor Tots during that time. This is the wise thing to do at the moment while we see out this pandemic. Such steps are also of course recommended by the Government and there is blessing following their guidelines (Romans 13)

Stay Connected: We will of course stay connected electronically through the various means we have including Anchor Chat so if anyone is feeling socially isolated, there is that means of connection. Our logo states that we are 'Here for you' and Nicky and I would like to reiterate we are absolutely here for everyone who is a part of Anchor. It is important to remind ourselves at this time that for each of us that are in Christ, the devil is just as defeated now as he has been for the last 2000 years. And so it is good to press in and believe for our redemptive rights that we are in Christ, specifically that we are healed (Isaiah 53: 4-5)

Jesus spoke of there being pestilences in the end times (Luke 21:11) Jesus here is speaking of the tribulation, however the present situation shows we're getting close to that and of course, His second Advent.

Opportunities: I encourage you all to think of ways in which the present situation presents opportunities for us, as the Body of Christ, to be the blessing it's made to be. I'll leave you with two scriptures; Psalm 46:1-2 - God is our refuge and strength; an ever present help in times of trouble. Therefore we will not fear thought the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
