Anchor Youth

Our Anchor Youth Club meets fortnightly on Tuesdays from 6.30pm to 8pm throughout term time. Sessions are £1 to cover costs and is aimed at 8 - 12 year olds. Our sessions involve a free time of choosing their own games and craft activities followed by tuck shop, a circle time of chat and finishing with whole group community games. Please message us if you would like your child to come along to our sessions.

Youth Activities

Since our youth club started they have raised money to support local charities such as the Basics Food Bank and helped individual local youth who have been very sick and need hospital treatment.  They have been very keen to help others, an ethos we are seeking to develop more.

Outings and trips are always popular with our youth especially bowling.  We try and arrange a trip each year for the youth to encourage them to build community within the community.

Regular planned activities such as watching movies or cooking  are planned in.  We have seen some very creative pancake decorations and Christmas cooking.  The children work together in small groups or pairs and really build relationship.

Our circle time is a time when we can ask questions or share things that have been going on.  Children with personal worries can approach any adult volunteer in confidence and share their concerns.  All adults are DBS checked.
